JobsNow is a two-year pilot project developed to assist Ontario Works participants find sustainable employment and achieve long-term financial independence. The pilot project is being delivered in six municipalities including Hamilton, Ottawa, Windsor, Durham, Peel and Nipissing.
The pilot was launched in April 2005 by Ontario Minister of Community and Social Services, Sandra Pupatello; and CEO and President of WCG International HR Solutions, Ian Ferguson at the Ontario Chamber of Commerce in Toronto.
JobsNow provides a range of ongoing job retention support services to help participants find and keep employment. JobsNow provides support for new opportunities, career growth and advancement for up to 18 months.
The JobsNow program focuses on building strong community partnerships with the belief that "great relationships create great solutions."
JobsNow works in partnership with the Ontario Chamber of Commerce and local Chambers to secure solid job leads across a number of sectors including business, retail, and high tech.
